I added these statistics to the Game Over screen. Super addictive little game for me... I never expected levels to get past 9, as you can see from the underline that cuts off under Level 12. (fixed that already)

I was surprised how fast I had a prototype game running after copy-pasting my Jezzball code and removing all game-specific logic from it, and adding new game logic in for a new game. Got me thinking I could maybe participate in game jams using this strategy :win3_computer: The deadline could be a nice motivator to be creative and efficient... and I'll amass a little arcade on my website 🕹️

Funnily enough I started making this by trying to make something with Phaser 3 for the second time...and the documentation was still lacking. So I took a shot using no framework again and it was fun honestly... HTML5 canvas is awesome :tassmuffin:

I started making this car game on Monday. I might work on it more but it's already kinda fun for something programmed in four days. All the graphics are from OpenGameArt fun.tassaron.com/speed-limit/ Works with a keyboard, mouse, or touchscreen

I'm not a fan of files named "core" in a project but I guess it makes the core logic easy to find, so really I have no argument against it. I just dislike the word "core" apparently

`Uncaught TypeError: null has no properties`

My old friend "NoneType has no attribute x" found some new clothes :msn_eh:

I voted today. If you're Canadian then you should vote too! The system might be completely fucked so it's impossible for anyone to beat the conservatives, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try ☔

Turns out it was a simple error, having TOTAL_NOUNS set to 13 when there were 16 nouns in the game :yooka: Glad I got this old thing working again.

Oh my! I looked through a tar.gz of my old home directory and found some source code I thought I'd lost three years ago, for a little text adventure game I was writing in C++. Looks like I broke it at the end by trying to split up the code or do a Makefile or something. A fun puzzle I left half-finished 🤔

The 2012 laptop is finally in retirement, and I'm using VLC's Chromecast support + KDE Connect to get the same experience with my TV as before. Very convenient :)

This Week in KDE: In case you thought Plasma wasn't configurable enough, now you get to pick your preferred accent colors too. That is, you can choose the background colors of highlighted menu options or selected items.

"Do you need comfort or solutions"? Important question to ask when someone is having a bad time. = Note to self who is always in solution mode.

All cryptography is public-key cryptography if you did it wrong enough.

I found this YouTuber from a C++ video (youtu.be/TBGu3NNpF1Q) but he also has some fun Python videos where he steps through bytecode and whatnot :win3_computer:

ooh, I completely forgot they added a match statement to Python 3.10 🥳
